4N5D Ligligkot

This 4 Nights 5 Days educational tour to Ligligkot is designed for students in Grade 7 and above, focusing on the origins of modern Nepali history and the unification of the country.

Historical Perspective: Students gain insight into how the unification of Nepal began through a visit to the Ligligkot fort and interactions with the local development committee.

Experiential Learning: The program includes dedicated training in first aid, wilderness activities, and digital photography for interested participants.

Cultural Exchange: Students engage in an interaction session with a local government school and participate in a cultural program organized by the village’s Women’s Self Help Group.

Life Skills: Camping under the stars encourages students to step outside their comfort zones and learn to adapt to a village environment.

Day 1: Depart from school at 7:00 AM; breakfast at 21 Kilo and lunch at Mugling. Arrive at Ligligkot to set camp by 3:30 PM.

Day 2: A 3-hour hike to Ligligkot fort, featuring a talk by the President of the Ligligkot Development Committee and a packed lunch at the base of the fort.

Day 3: Morning interaction session at a local government school. Afternoon village walk to learn about local economics, social structures, flora, and fauna.

Day 4: Full day of experiential learning, first aid training, and tent management (dismantling and assembly). Evening cultural program in the village square followed by a bonfire.

Day 5: Pack up and drive back to Kathmandu; includes a packed breakfast and a lunch stop at Mugling.
